Strengthening Extreme Events Detection for Floods and Droughts (SEED-FD) is a Horizon Europe research project (2024-2026) that enhances flood and drought forecasting through advanced hydrological modelling. It aims to improve the accuracy of the Copernicus Emergency Management Service (CEMS) by integrating satellite and in-situ data, refining the forecasting model, and developing tools to predict additional extreme events. These advancements support better disaster preparedness and strengthen climate resilience worldwide.
